| | Took a photo session with my-old-brother Dewandra Djelantik by the time I got back to Bali again. My eyes were so smoky when I had chance to see beautiful Bali's skies after all these months.
I will miss Bali for my entire life. My life began in this beautiful island. And will end soon here too.
Hope someday I 'm still able to have chance to see its beauty. And still can meet my lot-of-old-brothers in this island.

| | They are an incredible couples I have ever met in prewedding photosession.
When we (Dicky Yudhanto and I) were in Jogja, we called by Salon agent which is the official photographer ran away from the job at 00.30 AM. The agent need the photographer so bad, because they have the clients to do a prewedding first thing in the morning. We dealed and agreed to take photosession in the morning.
Thirty minutes later, the agent called again. Their clients wanted to do photosession in the next 30 minutes. We tried to explain the agent that the results wouldn't be good if we take photosession in the dawn like this.
And the clients didn't care and insisted to do photoshoot at the moment.
So here is the craziest prewedding work I've ever worked here in Jogja. I came to Jogja only for modelling photosession, but suddenly we could make some beautiful memories in this town.
Can you imagine? We were laying down at the Malioboro street at 03.00 AM in the morning? Can you imagine, we were jumping all around to do multiple flash shots, because we have only one portable flash? Lucky us, we brought our tripod within.
So here they are. They are all retouched ones.

| | I experimented studio shots with infrared Camera. Recently, I changed modification from Harlim to Dibyo Gahari (http://dibyogahari.multiply.com/). And these beautiful tones come from Dibyo's Infrared Filter. No need to do swab channel with channel mixer this time. These tones came from WB preset camera and re preset again in the Nikon Capture NX.
Please contact him if you want to modify your camera into infrared.

| | This village is an old heritage village in Bali. There are 3 old heritage villages in Bali : Tenganan, Penglipuran and Trunyan.
I took these several years ago. Yet, I am only keeping them in my storage only.
I try to post more Black-And-White albums in the future. Just to proove, that black-and-white images are not failure color photos that have to turn into black-and-white to make them beautiful. Black-and-white photos have its own beauty. I used to be process and print black-and-white photos in my darkroom about 12 years ago. I still keep my old Fujimoto enlarger.
God, I missed the old and fun times in the darkroom. Although now, it is hard to find good chemicals (developers and fixers) and papers from good brand from the old times. Usually they are Ilford and Kodak.

| | Dua hari yang lalu (17 Desember 2008), saya menemani seorang teman dekat dan seorang fotografer komersial bandung dan fotografer spesialis lomba yang selalu hoki yang bernawa Wiwiet Setyoko (http://gendhisphotovideo.multiply.com/) untuk hunting ke kawasan Citatah Padalarang. Padalarang adalah sebuah daerah di luar kota Bandung yang berjarak 30 km dari Bandung.
Tujuan hunting kali ini karena Wiwiet akan mengikuti lomba foto dengan judul "Selamatkan Karst Citatah" yang diadakan oleh Tim Geologi ITB Bandung. Dalam hunting kali ini, tema yang berusaha di tangkap adalah keindahan, kerusakan dan aktifitas manusia di kawasan Citatah ini.
Kawasan Karst Citatah, adalah jajaran bukit kapur yang telah di eksploitasi selama puluhan tahun. Padahal di tempat ini pernah ditemukan situs manusia purba dan secara pariwisata, keindahan alam Citatah sebenarnya sangat potensial.
Sayangnya, kita justru melihat tingkat kerusakan yang justru lebih mendominasi daripada tingkat keindahan alamnya di tempat ini.
Saya hanya menemani. Dan tidak ikut lomba fotonya sama sekali. Dan ini adalah hasil dari visualisasi yang saya tangkap dari perjalanan hunting kali ini. Beberapa fotonya bersifat sangat simbolis, minimalis dan sesekali mencoba belajar untuk bermain fine arts walaupun selalu gagal. Dan kali ini, tone fotonya dicoba untuk balik ke dasar dengan warna khas Nikon yang oversaturated. Mudah2an tidak terlalu pedih di mata ya?
Kritik dan saran selalu dinantikan karena sekali lagi, saya tidak pede sama sekali mengedit foto2 ini dengan laptop saya yang super duper ekstra lelet alias lambat.

Two days ago at December 17th, 2008, I accompanied a very close friend and commercial photographer also. He is a very talented person who is always winning a local photo exhibition here in Bandung. His name is Wiwiet Setyoko (http://gendhisphotovideo.multiply.com/). We went to Citatah Padalarang area near by Bandung about 30 kilometers from Bandung.
The purpose of this photo outing because Wiwiet will be participating in photo competition called "Save The Citatah Carst" who held by the Geology Experts from ITB Bandung. Themes from this outing are the beauties, damages and human activities in this area.
Citatah area is kind of lime hill which exploited for many years. In fact, the geologist has found many ancient bones from the past sundanese time. Dan as a landscape, this land is very beautiful.
Unfortunately, we found the damage level is very dominating in this place, compare to its beauty.
I only accompanied my best friend. And don't intend to participate in this photo event. And these ones are the final results from my visualisation from this outing. Some of them are very symbolic, simple dan some of them tried to be played with failed fine arts. These photo tones are going back to natural color of Nikon. It's quite oversaturated. I hope it doesn't catch your eyes too much.
I am waiting for any appreciations and inputs because I did retouch all the photos in my very slow uncalibrated laptop.
